Captain John Harvey serves as Vice President on the SEMSAR Board of Directors, and in our Operations Division as Public Information Officer.  John is a Nationally Registered Emergency Medical Technician, and works part-time for KC Medical in Kansas City as a special event EMT, and for Miami County EMS as a basic EMT.

John has a professional degree in Horticulture, and serves as our resident expert on all things terrestial.  He is a career firefighter, holding the rank of Engineer with the Prairie Township Fire Protection District and also serves as a Boy Scout Leader, leading "extreme" scouting adventures into wilderness areas.  He is highly active in his local church, and is a dedicated family man. John is a certified EMT instructor, first-aid and CPR instructor, Hazardous Materials Technician, and Disaster Medical Technician. He is also a graduate of the National Search and Rescue School.
