Greetings All:
Rock the Light went very well this year. All in all, we saw about 42 people at the medical tent. Most were members of the band-aid brigade, needing only minimal attention. We also distributed a small fortune in cotton balls for use as ear plugs. We treated a couple of Mosh Pit injuries, with one young man bleeding heavily from abrasions. A light discussion with him and his companions on the similiarity of mosh pits and the activities of the prophets of Baal was include in treatment. Three people had to be transported to the hospital. One for serious knee injury, one for an ankle, and one for an allergic reaction (dippin dots and nachos apparently react violently when mixed together). Our commercial was aired several times on the big screen, and the medical tent was provided for us this year. We also managed to secure a private photo shoot with Casting Crowns. We received $26.00 in donations, which is a 700% increase over last year. If we do this again next year, we can probably make a small fortune by selling ear plugs. We did not get anything back on the cotton balls.
